"Do I look like I'm going to die last night?" I smirked and sat down beside her.

I woke up feeling great today after getting a total of eight hours of sleep. My body felt refreshed and energised, allowing me to complete the tasks left over from yesterday easily. The sun is bright, and everything around me is good. They're all good in my eyes.

I couldn't get a signal to reach Bryce, but I will work on a new connection later and see how it will go. But now, I am urged to sit beside her as she cooks potatoes outdoors in this small, messy kitchen I built.

"Am I allowed to talk about this and that now?"

Her worried look made me realise the rules that I never implemented. She was the one who brought it all up from the start. It was her idea to never make any requests of me nor ask things privately.

"Ahm," I responded and gave her a slight nod. She replied with a small smile. Although I didn't directly look at her face, I could sense her expression from my peripheral vision.
