"Thank you," I said to the lady who assisted me. I sat on a chair made for queens and looked at myself in the mirror. I remember the last time, the last two people who fixed myself were the helpers under my father's command.

I had no freedom under my father's control, as I was obligated to obey his orders for my Grandmother's safety.

I wonder how's Grandma? I hope she's still holding for me.

"How do you like your hair done, Miss Quinn?" she asked nicely.

I blinked and looked at her from the mirror's reflection. Never once in my life had someone asked me what I wanted to do with myself except now. It's the first time for me.

"Uhm, j-just a trim, please," I responded. I'm not sure about it. I'm just happy that Eres gave me this treat. A pampering 'love yourself card'.

"How about we give your hair a little shine? Leave it to me." As she winked and smiled, I nodded weakly. I am feeling excited!
