An old gentleman named Dan fetched me at precisely seven in the evening. I was looking forward to today, but Xavion suddenly canceled my appointment.

Mr Jason Gray, my boss, called me earlier for a follow-up. He can't wait for the merging, as I told him I will send Xavion's legal documents today. But to my disappointment, Xavion canceled our meeting and moved it to this time.

The car stopped, and I brought my windows down to check the building. It's a five-star hotel suite owned by the Mondragons. It's flashy as it looks, and it gives a diamond feel.

My lips parted as it brought back the memory of Xavion and me, and I overlooked that Mr. Dan had already opened the car door for me.

"Thank you, Sir," I said the moment I got out of the car.

"Miss Quinn, just call me by my name. I'm not a sir," he slightly laughs. "Enjoy your night, Miss Quinn."

"Thank you, Mr. Dan," I smiled and headed off.

I entered the elegant hotel, and my hands were sweaty and cold. My flesh is shaki
