Chapter 27

It was almost eleven in the morning. And the sun was beginning to light up Purple City. Some adults were seen wiping their faces with face towels and their shirts drenched in sweat as they made it back to their homes after hours of jogging.

A few kids walked the streets in the company of their siblings as they poked fun at each other and lit up with smiles.

The long palm trees along the roads danced to and fro and the city looked green.

There was no moment of mediocrity in Purple City. Even on a Saturday, the aura of wealth and class could be felt by the people that withdrew back to their homes after a jog. From expensive sneakers to customized headbands and shirts.

Some had customized water bottles that had diverse inscriptions. Some of the bottles had the inscription, ‘Life is Good,’ ‘You Only Live Once,’ and another that read ‘Live it.’

Some who preferred to exercise at home could be seen lifting dumbbells, running on the treadmill and pushing up. And anyone could see some of the
