Seven days passed.

Cynthia was back on her feet and doing very well.

But Jean, a staunch supporter of Fiona, was still shocked that Fiona could attack her mother.

"Here you go mother," Jean said and handed her a glass of water and tablets of painkillers.

Cynthia's head was bandaged from one end of her head to the other.

Jean sat next to her in the living room to keep her company. But the deeds of Fiona were still haunting her.

"That Fiona did this to you still boggles my mind," Jean said watching as her mother put the glass of water on the coffee table next to her seat after taking the medicine.

"My daughter, it's been seven days already and as you can see, I'm doing well," Cynthia said.

"Besides, it was just an accident," she threw a defense for Fiona.

"Was it?" Jean asked, hinting that she doubted the incident was an accident.

"Yes, Jean. She was just carried away and as a result, wounded me unintentionally," Cynthia said.
