Chapter 109: The loss of his daughter

“I don’t have a mother,” she said and proceeded to disconnect the call. When she left that house five years ago, she swore there and then in her heart that her mother was dead to her and she never looked back.

“It’s May,” the caller introduced herself by her name.

“I know, what do you want, May?” Kiandra asked calling her mother by her name as she wanted the woman to know and let it sink in that they had no relationship with each other.

She might have been the one who brought her into the world but that was it. May never treated her like her daughter and so, there was no need to treat her as her mother.

“I’m in the city where you are and I would like to see you,” May requested.

“Go on the internet and search for me, you’ll see a lot of pictures of me,” Kiandra said and she disconnected the call.

Her eyes turned cold as getting a call from May ruined her mood and not wanting Lucas to suspect anything, she schooled her features into her normal expression.
