"So my friend was right… you're a widowed," I stumbled upon knowing it was coming straight from him.

Ajax craned his neck and made a click on his tongue. "I don't prefer people calling me windowed. I'm single," he said gruffly whilst sneering. "But how did your friend know I had a wife?"

My eyebrows arched. "Because you're popular enough? But I don't know you. My friend is also in a business field who happened to own the coffee shop's location you wanted to take away."

"Really?" he said nonchalantly. It is when Ajax began to make circles on my flat stomach. "But why don't you know me?"

"It didn't come to my knowledge that you're existing. But I'm amused by your achievements. I saw it when I searched your name on the internet."

Ajax's way of looking at me has now been tainted with arrogance. "See? You're curious about me. You wanted to know my name and—"
