"Marcus?" I said as I approached where he sat. He angled his neck in such a manner that he could see me and I inhaled sharply.

It had been forever since I'd seen him, but it didn't mean that I'd been forever since I spoke to him.

He was eating something.

"It feels as though I interrupted a moment. Do you want me to leave?" I didn't him to say yes, but if he did, I'd turn around and walk away and try to never think about him ever again. Bitch, you know that ain't possible.

He breathed freely like he'd found solace in my presence.
