The loud music blasted around the place, but most of all, it sounded too close to Kate’s head, it made her want to cry or as a headache was fast brewing.

She didn’t mind the headache though, for she knew that Gordon didn't care if she was ailing or dying, as long as she brought good money to the table; at least that was what he said to her.

A man she walked past spiked her attention because for some odd reason, he just bore too much resemblance with Richie. Their resemblance was so uncanny that it made her pause and stare.

She missed him. She knew that, even though she was unwilling to be caught saying something like that.

Her mind wandered into, and suddenly she remembered that night she had been ordered for a private dance, the night Gordon had threatened her simply because she complained about being too tired to want to continue dancing,

… the night someone had ordered for her but never came even until she slept off.
