DAWN

Later in the afternoon, when I'm on my fifth cup of coffee, I watch my phone buzz, sitting next to my computer. Fidgeting with the stylus on my work tablet, I unlock the screen. My eyes zero in on a message sent from an unknown number.

Do you really think I won't be able to find you?

Sucking in a deep breath, I stare at the sender's number of the suspicious message I just received on my phone. No matter how hard I think, I still can't put the number to a name in my head. I think long and hard about this.

Who is this?

Is it him?

Could it be him?

I thought he must have forgotten all about me.

Is he still keeping tabs on me?

Another message pops up on my screen.
