Chapter Seventy-Seven - Stalking Her

Walking along the hallway at about half an hour after the official closing time, I didn't expect to be seen by anyone, let alone that monster. My handbag dangled from side to side and my stilettos announced the course of my journey across the offices. I didn't bother much about the noise it made, believing that there wasn't anyone it disturbed.

I moved swiftly, taking quick but calculated steps, as I walked past his office. I took a glance at the door and luckily, it was locked up. He must have left already, I assumed in my mind.
