"I'm sorry, Ger. Because of me, you're going through this," Frans said, guilt-ridden.

"No, Frans. This has nothing to do with you. It's entirely my fault from the past."

Gerald sighed heavily. Reopening his dark past was undoubtedly not easy for him.

"I've known for a while that Syella had a crush on me," Gerald paused, glancing at the devastated Bianca. Her eyes showed deep pain. Gerald felt even more guilty knowing that his conversation with Frans had likely hurt Bianca.

Bianca nodded weakly and moved closer to sit beside Gerald.
