Chapter 8

Killian POV

When Hailey came out I quickly followed her, she thought it was all like that. I quickened my pace to catch up with her. And she was right in the elevator so I stopped it from closing.

She would have asked more questions when I entered and stood beside her. While she was staring at me.

"A-what are you doing here?" She asked.

"If you think that it ends here when you already signed the contract, you are wrong," I said.

"What do you mean?" Her perplexing question.

"Come with me," I said.

"What? And why should I come with you? We're done talking and as I remember we don't have anything to talk about."

"We're getting married right now. I've prepared everything for my lawyer and godfather who is a judge," I told her which make a surprise.

"What? I'm getting married today. Are you serious? I didn't get ready and then you said I'm getting married today?"

I looked at her, she was wearing a mini dress and she also a light make-up. What else does she want to fix?

Psh! Women.

"Yes, I just said that, didn't I? Maybe you're not deaf not to hear and even more you're not stupid to not understand what I'm saying." I said.

"You -----"

"Let's go," I didn't finish what she was going to say as the elevator opened so I asked her out right away. Exactly there weren't too many people on the ground floor so I quickly pulled her into my car.

As I was driving I couldn't help but look at the woman next to me. Ever since I put her in my car she has been just quiet and seems to be in deep thought.

Later she face me so I turned away and turned my gaze back to the road.

"Hey Killian, are you serious about what you said earlier? You know as a girl we dream of having a fairytale marriage." She said while looking at me.

"When did I joke? I'm serious about everything Hailey. Everything I say is no joke." I said briefly.

"What's the real reason, Killian? I know it's that we will be pretending that we're married but maybe I deserve to know the reason right? I'll be part of the fake marriage you're talking about. So maybe it's okay for me to know so that we'll get along and we should be comfortable with each other. "

"As far as I remember I've been with you last time at the restaurant. So you know already my reason and one more thing it's okay if we can't be attached so much. This setup won't last long either. And about me, what you see in me that's how I am," I said.

"I know, what I mean is where is she? Shouldn't you be getting married? How did it happen that didn't go through."

"She chooses to go and leave me. I don't know her reason as long as she just leaves without saying goodbye. That's why I don't trust women now, they will just leave you." I said seriously.

"Hey, not all women are like that." Her defense made me laugh.

"Ahm Killian you said we're going to the judge now to get married. Who's there?"

"Vaugh my friend, Premiere is not here because he has a business trip," I answered.

"W-what? Your friend? Are you serious? So he knew about this?"

"It's obvious he knows that I'm getting married, he knows everything 'cause he is my best friend," I answered.

Later we reached the office of the godfather who is a judge so we quickly went in there and we caught them talking.

"Finally you're here. I thought she will not agree." Vaugh said while laughing.

"Maybe you forgot I'm Killian I get what I want," I said and smiled.

Hailey hit me quickly. "If you don't blackmail me, I won't allow this marriage to happen," She replied, which made the people there laugh.

"Is this the girl you wanted to marry? She's beautiful and doesn't seem to be afraid of you."

The ceremony soon began.

After we signed the marriage certificate I decided we would eat first because it was past lunch.

I am now with Hailey and Vaugh in a famous restaurant.

As we waited for the order Vaugh suddenly spoke.

"I'm excited about your marriage life, I feel different and something will change." He ejaculation.

"What are you saying?" I asked.

"Nothing, I'm just thinking maybe you'll end up together eventually," he said and laughed some more.

"Don't expect that Vaugh. It's too vague to happen. This friend of yours is still very antipathetic, I don't know if I can stand this man." Hailey replied.

I raised an eyebrow at what she said. "You are confident in saying that in front of me, you weren't my type," I said.

She stared at me and my friend laughed. Sometimes I just want to punch him. He has very different habits from Premiere but Premiere wants to compete in all aspects even with us who are his friend.

"That's where it starts, mark my words. Not only will you have a fake marriage, but I'm also sure there will be love eventually." Vaugh said.

"Just continue eating and I still have important things to take care of in the office," I said.

"You just got married and you're going to work right away? Isn't there a honeymoon?"

"Just eat," I said and the idiot just laughed and turned to Hailey.

"You know Hailey, Killian is a good friend of mine but he's often really irritable so I hope you'll just put up with him especially when you're together at home, you know he's heartbroken that's why he's somehow bitter," he said to Hailey.

"Do I have a choice? Nothing either." Hailey laughed.

"You are talking like I'm not in front of you. Nice." I said in a sarcastic tone.

And the two just laughed. Tsk!

When we finished eating we decided to leave the restaurant and I had another meeting to go to.

We were in the parking lot when Hailey spoke.

"I'll be ahead of you. I'm going somewhere else." She said.

"Wait, won't your husband give you a ride to where you will go?" Vaugh asked.

"No, my friend and I will also meet and Killian has a meeting," Hailey replied.

"I can give you a ride if you want, where are you going?" my friend Vaugh asked again.

"Thank you Vaugh but it's okay, it's just near here." She replied with a smile.

After a few minutes, Vaugh left first and Hailey and I were left alone.

"You know where the house is, don't you?" I asked her.

"Ahm, yes, can I just move there tomorrow? I'll fix my things first in my apartment." She replied.

I nodded. "I'll pick you up with the driver tomorrow so it won't be trouble for you," I said.

We talked more before saying goodbye to each other. I don’t know but I felt the joy of thinking that I could be with Hailey in the same house.
