You're Slow

In the eastern sky, a rising star appeared. Avery bit her lips and stubbornly wiped away the tears on her face. She knew that it was time to face reality.

Avery made Dina complete the discharge procedures and then went to the coffee shop where she had agreed to meet with Esme alone.

Because of the traffic jam on the road, Esme was a few minutes late. When she walked into the coffee shop, Avery was already seated near the window. With one hand on her cheeks and the other hand lightly looking out, she sat there like an elegant, static oil painting.

"I've been waiting for a long time."

Esme sat down opposite her. “One cup of Blue Mountain, thank you,” she said to the waitress.

"A cup of green tea," Avery said indifferently.

The waiter was slightly taken aback, as very few people would order a cup of tea in a coffee shop.
