I sat there watching him work on my foot. It was stinging a lot but I gripped the sheets of my bed tightly biting my lower lip as hard as I could hoping the pain would subside but the tingling sensation which happened when Victor was cleaning it with some alcohol-based liquids had me clenching my teeth.

"Shh," he kept muttering while blowing cool air to lessen the pain. I didn't know if I would ever wear any closed shoes again because my toes were sliced so badly

"It's...it's okay," I said, still biting my lip so that I could taste the warm metallic liquid coming out which I ignored and tried to relax as I could while Victor worked gracefully. Indeed the man was a doctor. So serious as he did his work. This was a minor issue that I could do on my own but when he brought me back to my apartment. He insisted on tending to me since I couldn't argue with him. I let him get away with it
