Chapter 54

Anne was on her knees, her hands were tied to her back with a zip tie, and she was blindfolded, so she had no idea of who kidnapped her or who was yelling at her.

"Please, if I offended you in any way. I'm so sorry, please forgive me." She pleaded.

"I said keep your damn mouth shut!" The voice shouted, throwing something against the wall, which made a loud clanging sound.

Anne immediately kept quiet and stopped talking, but she kept sobbing quietly.

"How can this happen to me on the day I got my dream job." She thought to herself as she wept.

"I thought my suffering was finally going to come to an end. Oh no! Who did I offend?" She thought again.

She was still thinking about what would become of her body if she was killed right there, when she heard some footsteps approaching from afar.

"Where is she?" A familiar voice asked.

"Right there, sir." Another voice, which seemed like his minion, responded.

"Has she said anything about the agreement?" The familiar voice asked.
