Chapter 63

"Ma'am, how do you feel now? Do you feel any better?" Rose asked Sonia immediately she noticed that she finally opened her eyes and she responded with a weak nod.

"You've been unconscious for a few days, since your surgery." Rose explained.

Sonia tried to sit up but squinted her eyes as she felt a wince of pain from the site of her surgery. Immediately, Rose ran to her side to stop her.

"I don't think you can do that yet, sitting up is definitely a very bad idea." Rose said, and helped Sonia to lay back on the bed. "The doctor also says you should not stress yourself yet."

"What about Miss Daisy?" Sonia asked weakly.

"She should be at home, I guess. I'm not really sure." Rose responded, truly unsure of Daisy's whereabouts.

"What do you mean by that? Why are you not sure?" Sonia asked, concerned.

"Well, I've been here at the hospital for a few days now, that's why I didn't know."

"So you mean you've not gone home in days?" Sonia asked with her eyes wide open in surprise.

"Yes, ma'am."
