Chapter 24.1 "A Jealous Friend"

Reese got scolded by the head maid. She got home so late after running an errand. Although she brought the berries that she had to buy from the supermarket, the head maid still got mad, saying that she’s being so irresponsible for her job.

‘I got into an accident after saving a man from the danger,’ Reese wanted to say this. But somehow, she cannot.

She cannot seem to share the information about the rich man whom she saved a moment ago. Why? Because there’s someone who will benefit if the man’s identity was revealed.

After getting scolded, Reese got back to her chambers together with the other maids of the mansion.

“Hey, I heard you got scolded again,” May, the other maid, told Reese.

Sitting in front of the mirror while brushing her hair, Reese stared at her co-workers who are laughing at her from behind.

“This won’t happen if only you did not befriend miss Harriet,” Cris, the other maid, said her opinion.
