Chapter 78 "Questions We Avoided"

All day, Cassius mulled over the conversation he had with Zion.

From his cousin’s answer, Cassius can tell that Zion has strong faith with Harriet, and that he would take her side no matter what happen.

‘Then why did Zion believe that Harriet killed grandpa?’

Cassis has two guesses. First, Zion saw concrete evidence that pinpointed Harriet as the killer. Or second, Zion might be the killer itself. However, the second reason contradicts with what Cassius knows.

“He loves Harriet,” Cassius uttered while sitting on the sofa.

Even if it is true that Zion is the suspect, it is impossible for him to frame the woman he loves.

Cassius shut his eyes and breathed sharply. He does not want to ever consider the second reason as one of the options. Zion won’t ever harm their grandfather or abandon the woman he loves.
