(Kim's Point of View)

"So, what do you say, will you work with me and achieve our goals as independent women?"

I immediately shook my head to clear my mind. But I couldn't stop thinking about it.

Self-sufficient women? Her perspective of autonomous women was that they used others to acquire what they wanted, even Arthur.

What exactly did she mean? It couldn't be that she was the one who caused the accident that left Arthur in that state, could it?

My lips parted in a gasp, and I clamped my mouth shut fast. It couldn't be, I was simply thinking too hard about it, it had to be.

"Are you insane now?"

My train of thought was cut short as Arthur's voice interfered. I reeled toward his direction on the opposite couch scrolling through his phone while I was lying on the sofa with a magazine. "Huh?"

"You have been speaking to yourself for the past ten minutes," he responded without looking at me, and when he finally looked up at me and I felt struck by his grey eyes.
