(Evy's Point of View)

"What am I holding up?" enquired the doctor standing in front of me.

My hazy vision picked up what he was holding. "A hand," I responded.

"Do you feel discomfort anywhere?"

"No, just a small headache,"

He gave a nod. "You're in a critical condition, Mrs. Evelyn; you need to stay in the hospital for a few days for frequent check-ups,"

So much for hate for hospitals. "What happened to my baby? Did I lose it?"

The doctor let out a sigh. "The fetus is so fragile; it's a marvel it's still alive. However, you and your child will be alright after a complete inspection."

I moaned, clutching my forehead. When was this going to be over? Was my child going to die first? My hand moved sluggishly to the top of my tummy.

" Miss Williams,"

Officer Nim and two other cops were walking into my room when I heard my name called.

"How are you doing, Ma'am? "We'd want to ask you a few questions regarding what happened two days ago," he said.

So I'd been sleeping for two days? A lot
