The air weighed heavy on Shanaya, burdened by unspoken words and unresolved conflicts as she walked away from the table. She watched as her cousin regained his excitement upon finding the love of his life, Kirti, in the crowd — a bright grin instantly spreading across his face. She wondered if he still needed a drink.
