Time To Get To Work

Rose turned towards the glass walls. She could see Tom and Ben standing outside, although they were not looking at her and Wayne. Anybody walking by could easily see them in the conference room. There were blinds above the walls which could be drawn down to prevent unwanted eyes and ensure privacy.

But Rose preferred people being able to see them, so they could see for themselves that nothing improper was going. If they drew the blinds, it would look like they were trying to hide something and it would arouse suspicion.

Rose stepped forward and calmly took a seat by Wayne’s left side. Wayne had been leaning back with his legs crossed but sat up straight when Rose sat down.

“Yes Wayne?” There was a small smile on her face but her eyes were filled with fury.
