Madeline's POV

Shit!  

The dial tone reached my ears and I seethed, grinding my teeth. The woman was definitely snubbing my calls. I glared at the device, trying to breathe through the voices that laughed in my head. 

"Isabella Stone," I growled, as the call rang.  

"Pick up the damned phone!" 

She didn't. After the whole issue with that crazy bitch of a reporter, she had been avoiding me for a long while. And here I had thought she would stick to my side like she had before.  

Deceit. She had deceived me. The damned woman was so fickle minded! Hadn't she assured me that she understood my plight when I had seen her the last time. Hadn't she made it seem like she would never, could never hate me?  

Then why the hell couldn't I get in through her damned gates!&nbs
