62~ Empty

Ethan was frustrated with the slow progress. They had been at it for hours and yet no results came through.

"All of you are a bunch of incompetent fools! You all are getting free money in my company if you can't even retrieve a hacked video!" He roared.

"Fuck!" Ethan kicked a couch, making the tech team flinch.

"Ethan, calm down! They can't work with you pressuring them like this!" Lucas yelled at him.

Ethan hissed, "I'm going to check on my wife."

When he got upstairs, his heart did a somersault in his chest when he found the bedroom empty.

Amelia was nowhere to be seen. He checked the bathroom, trying to convince himself that she hadn't done anything reckless but he knew he was lying to himself.

She had defied him and left to search for Owen without knowing where he was being kept.

He ran out of the bedroom and his eyes wandered to the window. "No… she wouldn't." He was in denial but the evidence was right there in front of him.
