"Goddamn this!" I throw the file in my hands to the floor. "Is this how they are going to save this fucking company?" I swallow hastily. "Who was behind this? Which employee prepared this nonsensical report?" I press the button on my two-way business pager machine and wait for the office manager to walk in. She's usually quick to respond. "I need to find out who did this to fuck us over."

Are these the same budgeting reports Ms Fischer was working on yesterday?

The office manager knocks once against the front office door, and when I don't say anything for a minute, she walks into the room.

"Did you need something from me, Mr Thorne?"

Taking a sharp inhale, I gesture with my eyes to the file that has landed on the floor.

"Can you find out which department was responsible for all the mess last night? That report is riddled with mistakes, so much so that I think it's a joke for them. I don't think they care about this company or its growth and reputation." I exhale a shaky breath.
