Chapter 40

Arianna squirmed, blinking repeatedly. Slowly, the woman massaged her throbbing forehead as she tried to sit up from lying down. Instantly, a cold breeze swept in, piercing through to the bone.

"Good morning, honey," Samuel's voice faintly reached her. Turning, she found her husband sitting right beside her, offering a glass of a warm orange drink.

"Quick, have this. I ordered warm orange juice to help with the hangover from last night," he said.

"Me? Hangover?" Arianna asked, as if not believing what she had just heard. In her entire life, she had never been drunk.

"Oh, dear, don't you remember? Last night, you drank too much of the soju Darwin ordered. Besides, I warned you not to drink. But you ignored it, didn't you?"

Continuing to massage her forehead, Arianna tried to recall. Even if she did get drunk, it would be her own fault.

"I really don't remember. As far as I know, we just had dinner. After that, I don't remember what happened."
