Janet entered the bedroom shutting the door behind her angrily. Jeffrey, who was busy packing his belongings looked at his wife with a questionable gaze.

"Now the we have fallen to this state, even your precious daughter dare to defy me."

"Rael?" 

"No. It's Jane. She has left. I tried to stop her but she wouldn't listen." Janet said, feeling aggrieved.

Jeffrey was shocked.

"What are you talking about? How could you let our daughter leave just like that. Don't you know how dangerous it is out there for a young girl like Jane?" Jeffrey asked, anger visible in his voice.

"Who cares. She didn't want to listen to me. I told her she will come begging us to take her in again but she said we should wait and see."
