My eyelids opened slowly as I tried to make sense of where I was.

Sunlight was trying to filter through the drapes but it was weak early morning sunshine,and the glow turned the room to a dark blue.

I closed my eyes again,trying to snuggle my aching head down into the soft squishy pillow under my head.

I curled into a tighter ball under a thick comforter.I was cozy and warm.

A throwing-up scene flashed through my head and I gasped,suddenly and sat upright.

Holding my head,I looked around.

I was still in the same dress as last night.

I recalled being so upset with him because he had ridiculed me.I recalled going to that dinner with him and feeling really uncomfortable.

That hall had been reeling of wealth and luxury,even though I had tried to look okay and made small talk with the people around,I felt really out of place especially when the women started talking about different social events and people I had no idea of.
