I didn't need to see her face because I knew her by her voice alone. The thing was, since when had I ruined her life? She was the one who had destroyed her own life.

Her left hand took my sunglasses roughly to throw them away, then pulled down the scarf that covered my head and face. Hearing people gasp in surprise, I knew that they were looking at the burn mark on my left cheek.
