Heather didn't share what she'd been doing all day or what had happened to her. She wasn't obligated to report everything to me because I wasn't the husband who had been there for her.

But I was aware of her movements through people stalking her or the surveillance cameras of her shop that my friend hacked for me. I didn't want to fail to protect her anymore. What Cullen did was enough to jolt me out of my slumber.
