Chapter Twenty-three

She suddenly became quiet after clearing the misunderstanding,she became so comfortable around him that she blurted out without thinking. She was just grateful that she didn’t say anything more.

“What are you thinking about?” Henry asked when he saw that she zoned out.

“Nothing,I’m fine. I should be asking you instead,why do you look so anxious? Are you worried about something?” Ann said.

“No I’m not. I was just admiring the beautiful lady in front of me.” Henry said with a smile. He was indeed worried about something. The more he talks to Ann,he keeps getting flashes from their first night together. A night he had tried to remember but he couldn’t ,and everything keeps coming back which makes him more anxious.

“Can we go back now? It’s getting late and your assistant might be back already.” Henry said
