“What did you say happened to your eye again?” Reina asked, sipping on her coffee. Jorge Billings was seated at La Café with Reina after he had accidentally bumped into her on his way from Parker’s Enterprises.
“I slipped in the bathtub.” Jorge said, eating his brownies.
“You said you ran into the door.” She laughed so hard and clutched her stomach.
“Great, now you are laughing at me.” Jorge pushed his chair back and got up to leave, but she stopped him.
“Okay! I’m sorry, please sit down.” She said in between laughs and pulled him down. He sighed and sat down.
“Is everything okay here?” Antonina asked and looked between the two with wonder. It had been a long time since she had seen or heard Reina laugh, or seen the twinkle in her eyes.
