Alva sat in the chair that the woman provided for her and took a breath, she was nervous, to say the least, and she didn't know what to expect.

"So shall we start now?"

"Yeah sure, I'm ready,"

"So what you'll do is close your eyes and listen to my voice, I'll lead you through the night, if you think it'll be too much, you can opt now and do it later,"

"No, I want to do it now,"

"Okay, so close your eyes,"

She did and listened to two snaps of her therapist's fingers, "it's fifteen years ago, November 15 to be precise and you left home, what happened?"

Her parents were fighting, not beating themselves but shouting and she hated that, the loud voices and the scream, she hated them all and she wanted to leave.
