Chapter Fifty-Five: The Birthday Preparations II

Author’s POV

While Madeline sat in Math class, she couldn't wait to tell her friends about her birthday party. She wished the class would end in no time. Her own wishes baffled her because Math class had always been her favorite class.

As if there was a fairy waiting somewhere wanting to grant her wishes, the bell rang indicating the end of the class. Madeline excitedly packed up her books and immediately the teacher walked out of the classroom.

She made her way to the cafeteria where her friends were already waiting. She had told them that morning that she had something to tell them.

"Tell us, what is it? You've kept us in suspense for too long," Emily said.

"Yes, tell us," Sarah said.

"As you girls know, my birthday is this Saturday and my parents want to throw a party for us. I'm inviting both of you. It's not a large party; it's just a party of 20," Madeline said.

"It might not be a great crowd but I'm sure it's still going to be lit. Of course we would come," Emily said.
