Another Day, Another Battle

Anika looked out her window as she heard the carriage approach. Curious to see her friend coming with what looks like all of their worldly possessions. She runs her hands through her long black ringlets and pulls it up into a side bun. She put on her over robe and fastened it closed. Turning to greet them she told her hand maiden to go ready the safe room. They would have to rest in there today. There wouldn’t be a way for them to get inside and escape the danger of the sun.
