Chapter 21 | You Must Remember

Nadia is quiet as she fixes my hair and does my makeup. She has always been able to read my mood pretty well and she can tell that I am not in the mood to talk right now.

Today is honestly a day that I just want to stay in my room and be by myself. But I have a mate that I need to be around and get more comfortable with, and I guess it would be good for me to keep busy and distract myself from my sadness.

Nadia says proudly as she finishes braiding my hair, “Done!”

I say, “Thank you, Nadia.”

“It’s not a problem, Lux. In fact, I think it’s one of my favorite parts of the job.”

I smile in response, and she asks in a suggestive tone, “Would you like me to help you find Alpha Apollo?”

My mouth opens as I am about to reply to her whenever I hear Kai’s voice in a sudden mind link and he says, “Come, join me outside. Just you, I need to shift.”
