Chapter 80 | It Isn't A Curse

I sit by Apollo and hold his hand. I don’t know how to fix things or make it better. At the end of the day, once he has recovered enough, I do plan to reject him. I don’t want to give him false hope that somehow things will work out.

I hear his soft groan as he comes to and then he says my name with a surprised tone, “Lux.”

I brush my hair behind my ear as I say, “Hi Apollo.”

His fingers graze my hand and he says, “I can’t believe you’re here.”

I nod as I say, “I needed to make sure you were okay.”

It takes a moment before he responds and he asks, “Where am I?”

“We are at the Royal Pack. An attack broke out at Bloodlust… you somehow got grazed by a bullet that had wolfsbane in it.”

He groans, “Son of a bitch… your brother’s okay though, right? I was trying to protect him.”
