—Sara, keep Laura in your line of sight. He could be anywhere. How is she? I rubbed my temples, feeling the twinges hit my brain.

—Picking up. Someone drugged her. Sorry, Thomas. I was careless.

— Do not worry. Matheus will get you out of there in a few minutes. Exit through the back and don't miss the point. Keep talking to me. I'm almost at the airport.

—How about dinner after this is all over? You owe me a dance.

The sharp crack that followed Sara's voice took my breath away and nearly burst my eardrums. What I heard next was the shouting and Matheus's voice in the distance.

— Sara? Laura? The moan that left my mouth startled Jonny. He took out his cell phone and called Matheus. Sara had been shot, but Laura was fine, that's what he said. Sarah shot? I loosened the knot on my tie, feeling my chest burst. Jonny handed me a pill and a glass of water. My head throbbed with pain. Not again. Please God! Not again.
