I learnt the hard way that hearing the truth is something we aren't prepared for. Now that I think of it, I wonder why I kept on pressurizing him to be open with me if it was something I wasn't going to be able to face? If it was something I was going to run off after hearing like I did? The truth about one's past, hits us in so many ways, and Ray's wasn't an exception.Probably, he was right about keeping his past away from me. He was probably downcasted after watching me run away like that. I myself was embarrassed, the way I acted was childish,and even when i wanted to blame myself.Ray really had a toxic childhood. It was so bad, I wanted to tell him to shut up but couldn't, I knew it was some kind of help to him, because he was sure to feel light-headed afterwards. When he told me how he'd met Raven and the whole shit with Tim, I couldn't resist hugging him. It wasn't a rehearsed speech, it was exactly like Raven had said it.
