The Inner Voice Breaks

"Petrichor!" Travis silently hissed albeit gritting his teeth while his eyes were slyly and closely observing a group of clouds as they were angrily floating in one direction — so ugly and grey.

The boy impatiently watched as buildings and trees sharply passed by, outside the car window. There, he quietly sat in the back, his eyes never releasing themselves from the sky that was rapidly becoming tar black whilst at the same time receiving a small, yet "beautiful" decoration from the flashing lightning that was lighting the whole sky like fireworks.

On the boy's trembling left hand was a tissue paper which he tightly held. Inside of it was a pill that adequately made his blood boil with rage and fear. Never for once did he look down on his hand — he seemed paralyzed. "She won't know…!" He silently cried as he further tightened his grip on the tissue paper — the boy was not going to let go until it was broken into pieces and it finally did. He quickly released an air of relief through
