Elsie POV
“Why are you here, Elsie?” Andrea queried.
“To visit you, princess. You don’t want to meet me?” I said faking a sad face.
“Of course I want to meet you. I’m happy you came to visit me. I always ask daddy to bring me to you but he always busy.” She complained. I laughed, impressed with how her smart mouth uttered every single word.
“You didn’t tell me you will come to meet me,” she continues with her big smile that never leaves her face from the moment she saw me.
“Well, it will not be a surprise if I told you, right?” I titled my head and brought my forehead to hers which made her giggled.
“By the way, how are you, princess?”
“I’m not that good.” She pouted.
“Why is that so?”
“Because you were not here and I missed you.”
“Aww, I missed you too.” I felt someone’s eyes stared at me but I pretended as if he didn’t exist.
“I always ask daddy to send you I missed your text and you said you missed us too.” Oh, how am I supposed to answer that? Is this a trap?
He purposely cleared his throat interrupted the conversation. “Sweet pie,” he called her with a cute nickname in a warning tone. Not to scare her but a message for her to stop being naughty. Andrea turned her head and looks at him. It doesn't scare her instead she grinned playfully. Four years old kid with her smart brain. I shook my head looking at her.
“Let me tell you something,” she looks at me waiting for my words. “I will be staying here with you,” I told her the news even though the truth was her mafia dad forced me to stay at this mansion. Anyway, I’m not going to get kids involved in our conflict.
“Really?” Her eyes widen, shocked by my statement. I nodded my head and sending her a smile to convince her.
“Really, daddy?” She turned to look at the bad guy that stood a few steps from us.
I can see he nodded from the edge of my eyes.
“Are you happy, sweet pie?” He asked her but I didn’t turn my head to look at him.
“Yes, I’m very very happy,” Andrea said clapping her little hands and jumping on my arm.
“Great. I will leave you two together for now,” he spoke while I fixed my eyes on Andrea. I nodded my head without saying any words to him. He ruffled Andrea’s hair and walked away.
Dexter POV
I was happy and satisfied when I saw Andrea’s reaction just now. For her smile, laughter, and happiness I will do anything. Even though I need to pay the price with human life, I will still do it for her without any doubt.
I stood outside of my office looking at both of them. I saw Andrea’s showered Elsie with her kisses all over her face. She giggled when she realized her saliva was all over her face. Their laughter echoed the whole mansion. It sounded like music to my ears. I love what I saw and what I heard now. I could sense the genuine care from her.
But, until when this will last?

I can’t be stuck at this place as his puppet for the whole life.I walked around the mansion alone. Some of the maids were in the kitchen and numerous men patrolling outside the mansion. She placed the food in the lunch box and put it inside the big basket. Andrea ente
