Misha's POV

I was finally here. That train ride and the subsequent taxi was seriously a killer. I excidedly grabbed the key from the lock box on the side of my new home and let myself in. It wasnt anything special, especially as it was empty besides my bags and the bed in the bedroom, but it was mine, my home.

I settled in, unpacking the few things i had and going to town to find a few basics like furniture and kitchen supplies. I was a simplist, never knowing how long id stay made me this way but even if i could settle in places for longer im sure i would still be this way. My mind was cluttered enough without my home being that way too.

Once settled i decided it was time to head out for a much deserved drink.

I found a place busy with beating, throbbing music leaking out into the street and decided to head in. I prefered drinking in pubs but with the time i knew my access to alcohol would be limited to establishments like this.

Walking in i was immediately drawn to a man at the bar who, while staring back at me, managed to shatter a glass in his hand.

I don’t know what it is but there’s something that draws me to this guy. I don’t normally rush over to talk to people, especially when trying to keep a low profile. But I felt the sudden urge to help him when I saw the blood, it’s like my feet moved without me wanting them to.

Now I was here drinking and talking to him which was very odd for me. I felt so uncomfortable and yet safe and protected. I was definitely loosing my mind from the lack of rest after my mum last found me.

“Here, so what’s your name Miss Nurse?” He asked me with a small grin, I was shocked, his face seemed to light up and it was stunning, like unearthly beautiful.

Oh god answer him you freak I yelled at myself internally, “I’m Misha, what’s yours?” I snap out of it quickly and shoot back.

“I’m Jackson,” He held out his hand, I gave him a strange sideways look but took his hand and shook it. Bam, it was like I was being electrocuted down my am but in a settling, yet exciting kind of way. I quickly pulled my arm away and he looks almost guilty, then his eyes go back to dark and playful. Maybe I imagined it, what were they putting in my drink?

“Wow some serious static” He laughed a low chesty laugh. I nod in his direction but I can’t help but think it over in my head. What was that?

We chatted for a bit longer and he asked for my number, I gave it to him and silently kicked myself for giving it to some random guy I met at a club on my first night here. I realy am normally more on guard in a new place, how could i slip and let myself reveal my name and my number to a guy i don't know is beyond me. Yep, im definately loosing it form the lack of sleep.

The comfotability i felt around him soon became too much to bare and i had to get out of there, sleep would definately help me before i became even more reckless with my safety.

I quickly made my excuses and left with one last look back at his sad face and waving hand.
