Chapter 29

Author’s POV

Cara blinked her eyes feeling a sharp pain in her eyes and head.

Her eyes seemed so heavy and the swelling around them made it difficult for her to open them without feeling any pain.

Ignoring the pain she again tried to open her eyes slowly, ready to be blinded by some sort of light which will definitely make her headache worse.

But nothing of that sort happened. Her eyes fell on the dirty ceiling of the room she was in right now.

The only light that was illuminating this cold room was coming from a window.

You couldn’t actually call it a window. It was more like a small hole on the wall, almost touching the ceiling.

The lack of light in the room was causing her eyes to ache even more.

She tried sitting up pulling her hand to rub her aching temple but then she felt something heavy restricting her movements.

She looked at her wrist to find a heavy chain stopping her from moving her hand.
