Lyn POV

By the time I get back to the bedroom there is no sign of Jean. I expected that she would be here getting ready for school.

“ Jean , where are you ?” I call out for her but she is no where to be seen..

I get dressed hopping that perhaps she is down stairs waiting for me.

When I get to the living room there is no sign her still but I can hear noises coming from the kitchen which is followed with a fine aroma of fried chicken just like the way I like it.

“ Jean are you there in the kitchen? " I call her out as I head towards the kitchen. Just as I expected she is there preparing chicken while other things are also being prepared .

“ What is taking place here ?” I ask her puzzled with the fact that she is busy cooking yet we have to get ready to go for school.

“ Isn't it obvious that am cooking chicken and you know very well that it is your favorite . ” she mocks me but she is still putting all her concentration on the food that she is cooking.
