CHAPTER FIFTY-ONE

Alan walked into his room after his banter with Ashley, for the first time he felt intimidated by her words. He sat quietly on the bed as he pondered on her words.

“I don't love her anymore, why can't I move on?” He asked with a disheveled look. He drowned himself in thought through the night before falling asleep.

“She is not up yet?” Alan asked, raising his brows at the empty living room. He walked towards her room to check up on her.

Raising his hands to knock, he stopped “No, I should just go. I am not ready for her sermon” He gagged and left for work.

Ashley woke, stretching herself “Why do I feel tired even after waking up” She whined, standing up lazily and heading to the bathroom to carry out her usual routine.
