CHAPTER SEVENTY-NINE

Alan was the one who was meant to go to the airport and talk to them about finding Ashley, but he was a powerful man, and if things went wrong, his reputation might be damaged, so he waited patiently in his office for Rex.

"Stop eating your fingers and tapping your legs; I am trying to concentrate," Sean grumbled to Alan, who looked at him instead.

"Do you realize how bothered I am?" He asked, narrowing his gaze at him.

He hissed, scowling, "I can not relate."

“Alan, calm down I am sure your accomplice knows how to get the job done” He spoke in a mocking tone.

"What is it about Rex that makes you hate him?" He inquired.

“I am not sure,” He replied, shrugging.

After what seemed like hours, Alan heard a tap on his door, which opened shortly thereafter.

"Good afternoon, Sir," Rex said, bowing to Alan and nodding his head in acknowledgment to Sean.

"He cannot greet," Sean thought, casting a wary glance at him.

"Is there any good news?" Alan looked at him with anticipation.
