Chapter Thirty
******Atlas POV*****
Two weeks have gone by, and the day is finally here.
The moment I raised my eyelids to the light of dawn, the troubling feelings I had strived to ignore for the past weeks came rushing back to me.
Yet like always, I ignored it, left my bed, and hit the shower.
When I returned to the room a few minutes later, I froze in my tracks as I stared at Aria seated on my bed.
With her gaze fixed on mine, her lips curved upward, and she softly mumbled, "Morning."
Striving my best to act normal, I walked over to her, resting my palms on her thighs, and leaned in, kissing her slowly.
When our lips parted, Aria's expression turned serious as she asked, "Are we going to the office?"
The fact that I already told her that I was giving her a day off and she still used the word "We," meant she wanted to know where I was going.
