Child Things

Just as they were busy packing her and her child's things, Ericka noticed Shawn staring right at her. 

She slowly crept up from where she was crouching and asked, “What is it?” 

She couldn't help but furrow her brows a little at the sight of the man.

"I'm curious. How long have you stayed in this apartment?" Shawn asked her. He had his arms crossed together while leaning on the wall. 

The place was just enough for one person with a small adequate space for a child. It also looked peaceful if you look at the neighboring place and was a comfortable place to live in.

Ericka did a great job.

"I've lived here for four years since Rica was born," she replied. "It was after Carol's burial when I shifted here." 

After a short while, she placed down the box she was holding onto the floor
