Scumbag

"Me?" Shawn asked. He couldn't believe what she just said to a point that he widened in shock. How was he one of the main reasons why she became so done?

Was he such a scumbag that she ended up like this?

"Yes," Ericka replied, shortly. The way she said it seemed like she was indifferent to him and at the same time filled with sadness.

"But why me?" Shawn asked. He just couldn't believe that something like that had ever happened. If only he knew what she meant at that time then maybe he could have done something for her.

"What makes it impossible?" Ericka replied. A bitter smile loomed through her lips.

"No, I just can't believe it," Shawn said. "What did I ever do to make you go through all of those? I feel so bad that I've done something so wrong to you," Shawn sincerely said.

All of those words that came out of his mouth are the truth. He still can't move on from the fact that instead of helping and treasuring the woman he has ever loved, he has caused her pain.
